Art critic and historian of photography. Born in Tokyo in 1984. He was visiting research student at University of Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne (2010-2011), received a Ph.D in Art History at Graduate school of Art, Nihon University. Fellow of the JSPS (PD)(2016-2018). Publications include Photography in Love with Paintings: Formation of the Pictorialism in History of Japanese Photography (Shinwa-sha, 2015), The Story of Photography: 400 Years History of Image Makings (Shinwa-sha, 2019).
