ICHIHARA, Shoji, journalist: born 1969 in Chiba. Graduated from the First Department of Literature, Waseda University (philosophy course). Since 1993, as a reporter working for a national newspaper publishing company, has written many articles related to culture/art/entertainment. And as a freelance journalist, has contributed serial or feature articles on art/image/music to art magazines, African special journal, etc.. Has co-authored following books: “Romantic Trip to Japanese Modern Architectural Heritage — East Japan”, Chuokoron-shinsha, 2003, “Romantic Trip to Japanese Modern Architectural Heritage — West Japan”, Chuokoron-shinsha, 2003, “A Story of People’s Favorite Song”, Iwanami Shoten, 2014, and “Once again, KaradaBungaku (literature born out of actor’s haphazard play)” pub. by IsseyOgata-raSemeteShuichiShuppanbu, 2017. Currently, contributes serial article “Bi no Sansaku (rambling streets for arts)” to monthly art magazine Gallery, Gallery Station.
