He was born in Kitakyushu City in 1959. He graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Letters, Department of Art History. After working as a reporter in the music and art fields for Nikkei BP, editor-in-chief of Nikkei Art magazine, and reporter in charge of art for the Nihon Keizai Shimbun(NIKKEI), he has been a professor in the Department of Art at Tama Art University since 2012. He teaches courses such as “Art and Economics” and “Music and Art. He is a board member of Music Dialogue, a general incorporated association.
He has written articles for many media, including the Nihon Keizai Shimbun(NIKKEI), NIKKEI Financial, ONTOMO, TOYO KEIZAI and RONZA. He is the editor-in-chief of “Whooops!”, an art magazine published by Tama Art University.
